In life he was known as Diomedes, a Commander of men in the Kyrios’ army, and loving husband. This was all to end abruptly as he is betrayed by his lord and friend, The Kyrios.
Payment for his service, his allegiance and friendship, murder by sacrifice for a deity's attention. His life measured in seconds ticks down as the Kyrios spear is driven through his heart. As he dies the echoing laughter of the Emissary can be heard only by him.
Now he finds himself resurrected as Lazarus, a pawn of the Veiled Emissary, stripped of everything he was and knew, with the threat of his wife’s soul being lost should he not comply, he is set upon a path of war with the promise of vengeance and salvation. A tortured soul and set to task to collect various weapons that can kill a god, his labours take him far and wide to mortal and immortal realms alike.
Along the way The Goddess Thenia intercepts him, seeing a warrior that can help tip the scales back in the favour of the gods and grants him a gift, no longer a berserker fuelled by hate and vengeance, his bonds to the Emissary are severed allowing him to think for himself.
Now an immortal none shall stand in his way, he is no ones champion but his own and woe betide any who stand in his way to find the one soul he desires the most, Koré his wife.
