Captain Leandra of the Amaranthine Guard
Her exploits are legend, she commands not only the Amaranthine Guard who protect the Gods but also their home. She is one of the rare few who has earned the respect of the Gods.
A magnificent warrior in life, she was a devotee to all things good, she was a paragon. Her name was spoken with awe and love by all whom encountered her, and with fear and loathing in equal measure by those who devoted themselves to evil.
The fateful day of her death was one that although a blow to the mortal realms, would be a boon to the immortal one. Leandra would travel to a once beautiful land, now turned to a blighted and ravaged landscape. The Titan Narkenos, a monstrous Cyclopean Centaur was abroad in the land, destroying all in his path and consuming the inhabitants of the land. None could stand against him and those who came before her now littered the ground, their bodies rotting in the sun.
Many a soul did Leandra save that day, her battle drawing the eyes of the Goddess of Balance. Dying from her wounds with the Titan, Leandra prayed to the gods as she ran in for what she knew would be her final battle. Her prayer answered she was imbued with the strength to take him down and at its end the Titan lay dead and her broken body lay alongside him.
For her sacrifice Leandra was gifted immortality and command of the Amaranthine Guard. Even now eons later she is looked upon with awe by those who serve under her, she has been tutor, mother, commander and friend to all those who join the hallowed ranks of the army of the gods.
A warrior without equal she stands guard at the Gates Of Eternity watching for the ever probing attacks from the God of Anarchy and his minions, for should she or her guard fail, destruction of the mortal and immortal realms will ensue.
